Brief Biography

Ivan Rodero is Associate Research Professor at the Rutgers Discovery Informatics Institute (RDI2) and the NSF Cloud and Autonomic Computing Center (CAC) at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He received an integrated BS and MS degree in 2004 and a PhD degree in February 2009 from Technical University of Catalonia. Before moving to Rutgers, he was permanent researcher at Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Spain.

His research interests fall in the broad area of parallel and distributed computing and include high performance computing, energy efficiency, cloud computing and big data analytics. His current research activities are in the extremely important area of green computing with a specific focus on co--design for power/energy efficient scalable computing and data processing. He has published over 80 technical papers in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and international conferences and workshops. He has also served in several committees of conferences and workshops, as editor and referee of journals and has organized workshops the areas of green computing and big data. He is also consultant at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), senior member of IEEE, and member of ACM and AAAS.
