Adaptive QoS Management for Multimedia Applications in Wireless Networks
The objective is to extending the Adaptive QoS framework to wireless extension in the Heterogeneous networks.
Project has evolved in two steps-
SIM (Semantic Event Management) application is an in-house collaborative application developed to provide common workspace for multiple users are a given time. Collaboration interaction is achieved using IP-Multicast while multimedia data-handling is controlled using RTP-RTCP implementation over UDP datagrams.
Currently developing an end-to-end adaptive QoS management system for heterogeneous (wired and wireless) networks -
Integration of wireless link features such as power limitation, path gain , interference characteristics and device capabilities on Network Simulator (NS-2).
Consideration of different topology scenarios and system heterogeneity
Implementing Modality Transformation algorithm based on the wireless link features
- End-to-end QoS using Differentiated services in the Core network
